1. What classes/programs does Real Estate Empower offer?

2. Where is Real Estate Empower's weather policy?
Check the schedule of the local community college where your class is being held. If the college is on a delayed opening schedule, morning classes will begin at 10 O'clock. Afternoon classes will be held as scheduled.

3. What is Real Estate Empowers refund policy?


  • Be ON TIME for all classes you are expecting to receive continuing education credit from. The state jurisdictions do not allow for a "Grace period." Thus, if you are late, you will not receive continuing education credit or refund.

  • If you are a no-show, no registration fees will be refunded.

  • If you notify Real Estate Empower, Inc. via email to support @rempower.com, at least 2 weeks before a scheduled conference or seminar that you are unable to attend, you will receive a credit to be used towards a future conference or seminar.

  • We do not do any returns. All Sales are Final. Our prices are low and we want them to remain there, as such we do not allow any returns. We allow credits only if you come in late to a class or you notify us by email 2 weeks in advance of the class.

  • Note: Real Estate Empower, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any event in its reasonable discretion. In the event of cancellation by Real Estate Empower, registration fees will be refunded in full. Real Estate Empower, Inc. shall have no further liability.

4. Can I pay for my classes as a walk-in?
Yes you can however there is a higher cost. However, classes do fill up and we will not accept walk-ins at this point. There is an additional cost for not paying before the class.

5. I'm late or missed my class. What is Real Estate Empower's timeliness policy?

6. Does Real Estate Empower accept personal checks or company checks?
We do not accept checks or cash. We only accept major credit cards. (American express, MasterCard, Visa)

7. How/ when do I get my certificate?

After three business days from the date of your class, your certificates will be in your online account and will remain there forever for your convience. If you would like to print them, you can use the following steps to retrieve them:

First, go to http://www.rempower.com

Second, type in your login, your email address, and your password into the login box on the right side of the homepage. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the forgotten password function.

Third, log into your online account and click on the link "Profile Page - View Classes & Certificates"

Fourth, scroll down to the "My Certificates" area and to the "View Certificates" area for each certificate you would like to print.

8. I lost my certificate. How do I get a replacement certificate?
Logon to your
student account using the steps above and your certificate will be available to print.

11. How do I enroll for continuing education classes?

First, on the home page click on the link "REGISTER NOW."

Second, choose the class which you like to register for by clicking on the name of the class

Third, click on the "REGISTER" link at the bottom of the page. You will now be prompted to 'login'. If you have not created an account previously, click on the "Create New Profile" link.

Fourth, now you can continue adding classes to your cart by clicking on the "Continue shopping" link. Once you are completed push the check out button, you will be prompted for your credit card information. You will be asked to click a checkbox at the bottom of the page. Clicking the payment button multiple times could cause multiple charges to your credit card.

13. What continuing education (CE) classes do I need to renew my MD/VA/DC license?

Maryland: 15 hours total

MD Fair Housing - 1.5 hrs
MD Legislative - 3 hrs
MD Ethics - 3 hrs
Electives - 7.5hrs

If your license expires after January 1, 2011, you have the following classes to take in addition to those above and within the 15 hours, this is only needed 1 X every 4 years!!!

Broker Pre-Licensing Classes

14. How do I get a Maryland Broker's license? How long do I need to have been a real estate salesperson before I can take the broker state examination?
We suggest completing a course at a local Real Estate Association, specifically the Graduation of the Realtor Insititute (GRI) designation course, you will be looking to take level 1-4.

The Maryland Real Estate Commission requires a real estate salesperson to have actively and lawfully provided real estate brokerage services for at least three years before sitting for the exam. However, you may begin your training before the three years have elapsed.

15. What are the broker education requirements?
A total of 135 classroom hours are required.

16. I am a Broker in Virginia/DC, can I get my license in Maryland by reciprocity?

17. What distance learning courses are available at Real Estate Empower?

18. Does Real Estate Empower provide study materials to help pass the state exam?
Real Estate Empower has a wide variety of study materials to help you pass the first time. Please give us a call if you are looking for additional resources. 19. How do I become an instructor?
Becoming an instructor is a rigorous process. We believe strongly in the quality of our instructors, as this separates us from the competition. If you are interested email us your resume and a list of classes that you are qualified to instruct. We will respond to you and likely audit a class you are teaching at another institution.
